Clinton Walenz was a frugal individual, always finding treasure in another man's trash. If the city was going to tear down a building, Mr. Walenz looked around for waste, and made it recyclable. An example, a bag full of copper toilet bowl floats, a stack of windows with wooden pane dividers,(really cool) a few old toy trucks, and a ton of light bulbs from the early 1900's. Tearing down a theatre, no problem. Mr. Walenz has a set of seats, wrought iron, leather, brocade backs, and the aisle light wiring still intact. Throw away an old clock, especially oak framed...no! It will be recycled, and sold September 15, 2002 at 1121 South 50th Street. Mr. Walenz didn't save for years to throw away his treasures. They will be auctioned, sold to the highest bidder. They will indeed be saved, and used again.
